Letterpress printing died because metal type was too complex and unpractical. New digital processes enable us to make plates without using chemicals, hot metal type or negatives. We use those to print on old cylinder presses, combining the typographic and practical advantages of computer typesetting with the haptic qualities of letterpress.

In co-operation with Monotype, one of the world’s best-known providers of type-related products, technologies and expertise, THE ARTS+ presents an event series on current trends and developments in design and visual communication.
