Metadata manager for the publishing industry
After a degree in Italian literature and a post-graduate degree in publishing, Anna Lionetti has been working in the publishing industry focusing on editorial activities.
Since 2012 she has worked for the Italian Publishers Association and for its R&D&I branch mEDRA, taking part in national and EU projects for the development of new services based on the management of bibliographic, commercial and rights information in the publishing value chain.
She is also lecturer on metadata management and identification standards for a post degree course on publishing at the University of Milan, and main author of an e-book on metadata standards in the publishing supply chain.
Anna is currently working for the EU project ARDITO, aimed at making available rights information on creative content for different sectors of the cultural industries.
ARDITO has a dream: publish content online (a photo, a video, a text, an e-book) and tie it to yourself, making immediately clear to everyone what can and what cannot be done with it, wherever it is or if it ends up on the web. ARDITO has a dream: find content online and know in one click if and how it can be used, without committing violations of copyright.
ARDITO is the new R&D project co-financed by the European Union aimed at developing technologies and services for web users and for publishers and creative industries, in order to support the SMEs in the creative content sector to find new business ideas through monetising the re-use of their content.
ARDITO is created by AIE (Italy), Album (Spain), B-COM (France) Copyright Hub Foundation (UK), Europe Analytica (Belgium), Icontact (Netherlands), and mEDRA (Italy) who co-ordinates its activities.
