Director Public Policy | Google Cultural Institute
Giorgia Abeltino is Google’s Director of Public Policy for Italy, Greece and Malta as well as Director of Public Policy of the Google Cultural Institute. The Google Cultural Institute develops projects in partnership with hundreds of museums, cultural institutions, and archives to host the world’s cultural treasures online.
Born and raised in Napoli, she studied Law at the Università Federico II, she then acquired her LLM in European Studies at The College of Europe (Bruges). She started working in Brussels, focusing on antitrust issues, first at a law firm and then at the European Commission. Giorgia then moved to Rome where she worked for four years in the regulatory affairs department of Sky Italia and then moved to New York City to work at NewsCorp focusing on regulatory and public affairs issues.
Giorgia is deeply interested in the interplay between society, culture and technology.
