LEIF GOERITZ, PhD, Chairman of the Board, Herder Publishing, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Thalia, Germany
Leif is a digital entrepreneur who conducted his studies in Witten/Herdecke, South Africa, China and holds a PhD from the Swiss University of St.Gallen. From 2005 to 2008 Leif led the German Centre Beijing in China, an incubator for internationalizing SMEs of the LBBW state bank. Subsequently he joined The Boston Consulting Group as a Project Leader in their technology and media practice. Since 2012 Leif pursued his own digital projects and has been involved in a number of successful start-ups. Today he serves as chairman of the board at Herder Publishing and leads their digitalisation and acquisition strategy. The Herder family invested early on in Pondus, the market leading publishing software and jointly with Leif took over the Smart Mobile Factory in 2014, a leading Berlin based app development agency. Subsequently, Leif led the Thalia takeover in 2016. Today Leif is Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Thalia.
