New European Media (NEM)/Madrid ICT-Audivisual Cluster (MAC), Spain
Verónica works to help boost the innovation and competitiveness of the Digital Creative Industries as Deputy Cluster Manager of Madrid ICT-Audiovisual Cluster (MAC) since 2008. She promotes collaborative projects among triple-helix players (companies, universities, public bodies and R&D centres) and provides support for internationalization to cluster members. She is Vice-chair of Cluster Interaction at NEM (the European Technology Platform for New European Media) and represents MAC in European networks and forums. With a Degree in Business Administration from European Business School and a Master’s Degree in Cultural Management from the Complutense University of Madrid, she has previously held various positions of responsibility within consulting (PricewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG) and private banking sectors (UBS Private Banking). She has also performed external collaboration work as a specialist in marketing and business development for SGAE, Fundación Autor (cultural and creative industries), Sold Out Media (producer of performing arts), and Instituto Buñuel (film industry). NEM/ MAC is a strategic partner of THE ARTS+ Innovation Summit.
